Workshop 1 (3 Days)
Topic: Network Management
"Principles and Tools for Better Network Management"
Presenter: T. R. Knight  [ppt]
Abstract: Need to get a better grasp on your organization's network? Curious about your bandwidth utilization? Need to control access to different segments of your network? Do you know what is connected to your network? This workshop will provide you tools to answer these questions and more about your network. Open Source tools for Windows and/or Linux will be emphasized and tested in Hands-On Labs. A few very powerful commercial tools will be discussed and demonstrated (including Packeteer Packetshapers and CiscoWorks Network Management System).  (further details)

Workshop 2 (1 Day)
Topic:  Effective Mission Websites
Presenter:  Peter Armstrong and Kent Palmer  - PPts: [Course] [Privacy] [Web Site Usability (doc)] [How Orgs Use]
Abstract: Interested in improving your mission website? Want to compare notes with others who work on websites too? Join us at this one-day workshop. We will wrestle with how to evaluate a website, dive into usability issues, take a look at privacy concerns, and walk through important issues related to online donations. Each session will feature an open discussion time to allow us to learn from one another what works well and not so well in real life.  Come prepared to interact!  (further details)

How the schedule works

Many have asked how we can have 1 day and 3 day workshops that start on Tuesday afternoon. 1 day workshops start Tuesday afternoon and end at noon Wednesday. 3 day workshops start Tuesday afternoon and end at noon on Friday. Hopefully this visual helps explain that.
